Jan 26, 2018 - In order to find out what the default email client is, I found the same information over and over again: Look at the default string in HKLM.

Hi I have Outlook 2016 installed on Windows 10 laptop. I now have the following fault, when I attempt to use the send to feature in a word/PDF document and when I try to sync my Ipad via ITunes I get this message: Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfil the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and s et it as Default Mail Client Outlook is the default client I have checked.

Searching on Google I wonder if it s a registry issue but I am not that tech savvy so need some clear advice. I have just installed the new update but the problem persists. According to my research, if an external application doesn’t support the 64-bit version of Outlook, you usually get an error like “Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.” In that case, please try uninstalling your Office and then reinstalling 32 bits Office to check whether issue continues. I have three computers that show this message on every Outlook 2016 startup, sometimes even twice. I tried to repair it and I tried to make a fresh installation, I also tried to delete the reg key you mentioned. To set Outlook as default mail client did not work either. Deactivating all COM-Add-Ins does also not solve the problem but starting Outlook in safe mode does!

Hey, i have tried the included email app that is integrated into windows 10 and today i tryed with another one called eM Mail Client. Allthough, the in the Default programs setting itțs changed to whatever email app i whant to use, i cannot rightclick a file>send to>email. A popup window appears that tells me that i have to select the email app in the Default Programs. I allready did that. First, with the windows Mail app i thought it was a bug because of the somehow limited functionality of the app, but now, i see it doesn't work even with a more complex app.
