Hi All, I would like to ask if any other Huawei B315s users experienced similar issues with booting up after latest firmware update? Yesterday I was prompted a firmware update and I accepted.

It downloaded the 60+ mb update and installed till 99% at which point router switched off. It then never came back on and remained with the power light on the left shining for more than 20min.

I found that longer than normally would be and tried restarting router with the power button and nothing. I then tried combination of buttons even trying the hard reset at the back and still nothing. It is now stuck with the power light shining, the 'clouds' next to it shining red and the last 2 bars for the signal strength shining and the smallest of the 3 not? I think its in some mode now.

I have checked online and no mention of similar issues only steps to unlock if locked to a certain provider can be found. So now I have booked it in with Edgars since I bought it through them, the wait now begins. In the meantime I would just like to get a knowledge base going of some sorts as many of these issues can be solved without booking in the device unless its a hardware failure and the device is physically busted (I assume many issues could be fixed with software/firmware updates or removals). Also possible states or functions the router has when using combination of buttons/steps?

Regards, Shadley. I have the same issue with the Huawei B315s update. After accepting the update prompt, the device went into 'reebooting' and then died. Only the power lamp works. Wifi access is gone, LAN access is gone, attempt to force load earlier software version (pressing 'power' and 'wps' simultaneously until restart) doesnt work.

The router is now working as an expensive and very lousy low power led-lamp. It is to bad, as it was originally a very reliable and fast 4G/LTE router. I have tried to contact HUAWEI product support for a fix, but have been stone walled. Huawei is now officially on my personal black list.
