I must have unknowingly deleted it before the computer crashed, so now I can't reinstall it. When me computer crashed I had to take it all the way back to the factory reboot, so nothing extra was on the computer. I am not a tech person, all I am trying to do it get my external hard drive to work automatically again. I clicked on the link, that way I would have to buy the software, I shouldn't have to do that since this external hard drive is less than a year old. I have contacted NTI but have not heard anything back.

I had several problems with my PC and when I went to reinstall the software because of three different computer crashes it would not install. I called NTI and they were blocking it because it had already been installed three previous times.

Besides, with business practices like this they won't be in business five years from now. Backup Now, at best, is a weak product. User options are very limited; for example, setting the compression ratio, naming the backup and so on. And, there are numerous other disadvantages, eg., a particular backup cannot be deleted- it is all or nothing.

To make the whole thing worse, I was never able to complete a hard drive backup. Furthermore, the tech person informed me there is NO instruction manual available.

And, uninstalling the program was a nightmare. There is no Uninstall Option on the Start Menu, and it wouldn't uninstall from Control Panel. I couldn't even delete the files until I discovered, and stopped, an element of the program that was running in the background. After finally deleting the program files, I had to delete all of the registry entries- and there were a LOT.
