Roland Gw 8 Styles Free Download
Hello Chums.! I am in one of those; 'Want moods' again.! I have been studying the details of the Roland GW-8E (European version) Workstation/Synthesizer/Arranger keyboard, and listening to samples, etc, on U-Tube, etc.>>> all done on the Keyboard (no computer!). Mesmerising!!.).(Uncle Bert's Cousin?).! Somewhat similar to my Yamaha Motif MO6, but with the addition of an excellent Rhythm Arranger/Sequencer (which my MO6 doesn't have!.).more like my little MM6, but with a lot more programmable features!
Its the sort of thing, for me, which would have been better than purchasing my MO6, (and cheaper!). (I like the added 'Arranger' functions in a Workstation/Synth.>> Intros.Variations.Endings.etc). (In proper English!!).>>> The Version 2 is equipped with an upgraded operating system allowing great detail in programming (if required). It seems like an excellent 'all-rounder', at a bargain price!£655.or less!!

Nov 10, 2009 Roland Clan Forums. Get new sounds for your Roland synth. Yes, you can add your own styles to the GW-8 using the Editor and a USB drive. I just don't know if GW-8 styles are for sale. And Asian collections. You can also do this with the style from Roland E80,G70 EXR and many more. Believe me that's what I do!:D.
Does anyone here have any experience of the Roland GW-8 to pass on?any advice? The User Manual, Guide, etc, is very impressive! .you are all too late with your advice/comments/recommendations.! I could wait no longer after reading all the reviews and demonstrations, etc, on the Internet, I took the plunge and finally ordered the Roland GW-8 Workstation/Synthesizer/Arranger.! I suspect it is something I should have bought in the first place, instead of my Yamaha Motif MO6 Workstation! I really cant be bothered with spending hours and hours programming Film Music scores.(like Vangelis).I just want to sit down and play the bl**dy thing!!.and, of course, that's just what an 'Workstation + Arranger' keyboard does, with its built-in rhythms and styles! The GW-8 is just a massive upgrade to my little Motif MM6 Workstation (with its rhythms)!
I just have to sleep in my garden shed now that there is no more spare room left in my house.and Winter is on its way!! Paul. Will post a review when it arrives.! Whilst waiting to the postman to deliver my new piece of joy today (Friday 25th), I am busy printing out the Voice (Tone) List, and Style List, to save constantly delving through the extensive User Manual each time!
I contacted the Lads at DV 247 (Birmingham branch) by 'phone, and ordered it on Thursday afternoon, and they immediately confirmed, by E-Mail, delivery for the next day, Friday Morning.and at a bargain price, to boot!! How's that for an [s]AWESOME*[/s] wonderful service, from DV247.!! (A 'phone order can arranger a special deal, which an order via Internet wont!) Well worth a congratulatory reply for the excellent service! Will report back on my views of the Roland GW-8E (Version 2).looks good, so far! Paul.More Toys!.! *.please shoot me if I accidentally type the word; 'Awesome' in any of my posts!.! The different versions: GW-8E, GW-8L, etc, etc.Version 2.
I ordered the (E) European version, but the (L) Latin version was delivered. I could get them swapped over, but I'm thinking that the L version was aimed at the American market to suit the South American customers with the Latin Dance Styles?.and the (E) European was version aimed at the European market with the Eastern Bloc Dance Styles?
(ROLAND GW8E HAS ADDITION OF EASTERN EUROPEAN- BALKAN-ORIENTAL STYLES AND SOUNDS LIKE 7/8-9/8 -KOLO-CHARDASH-HORA-ETC ).Not for me!! If so, comparing the two different styles, I think I would prefer the Latin Version.! Maybe the (L) version is more suited to the 'U.K market', rather than the European market? My version already has the standard Rhythm Styles and Tones, with the Latin Styles and Tones as an extra included set.
